FAQ

Common Questions

If your question isn’t answered here, message Dr Dilini directly on WhatsApp and ask.

Do I need a referral to see Dr Dilini?

No. You can book directly, without a referral from a GP or anyone else.

How do I book an appointment?

Through WhatsApp only. Message Dr Dilini, describe what’s going on, and she’ll reply personally with a time. She doesn’t take phone calls or walk-ins, since she reads and answers every message herself.

Where is the clinic?

Dr Dilini runs a private home clinic in Wellington. The exact address is shared once your appointment is confirmed.

Will I always see Dr Dilini, or a different practitioner?

Always Dr Dilini. There’s no roster and no other practitioners on staff.

Is Ayurveda safe alongside medication I'm already taking?

Tell Dr Dilini what you’re currently taking and who else you’re seeing. Her public health qualification is specifically about working safely alongside conventional healthcare, not instead of it.

What conditions does Dr Dilini see?

A wide range, most commonly the ones listed on the Treatments page: sciatica, back pain, frozen shoulder, skin conditions, hair and scalp issues, sinusitis, headaches and migraine, allergic rhinitis, and respiratory or phlegm-related issues. If you’re not sure yours fits, just ask.

How much does a consultation cost?

Message Dr Dilini on WhatsApp for current consultation fees and available times.

Is this covered by insurance?

Ask Dr Dilini directly when you book, and check with your provider, since coverage for Ayurvedic consultations varies.
